Here's how one simple tweak helped one of my clients to top her podcast in her home country the US and rank in 6 other countries

Podcast Niche: Mathematics & Parenting

Podcast style: Conversational, occasionally interview-based

We got in touch to kick off the launch of Season 2 of the podcast.

Before getting started, I wanted to familiarise myself with the format & vibe of her show and so I looked into the backend of the show and noticed something important.

The primary category of the show was - “How to”.

I had a hunch that it might not be the best approach going forward.

From our conversation and based on the target audience and goals he had in her mind for the show, I doubted if the category was a good fit for her content.

I also noticed many of the season 1 episode titles were beginning with "How To."

I got in touch with her to know if there was a reason for this and proposed a change to the primary show category to Mathematics, which would help with podcast SEO on Apple podcast.

After just two weeks, to our surprise, the podcast not only hit the charts but topped them in my client’s home country and several others.
